Having the space for a large workshop is awesome. Unfortunately not everyone has that luxury.
There are always some added ways you can organize a small shop to make it as productive as a large shop.
This does however require a little extra thought.
Keeping item that you use frequently and things you use with one another, such as a tape measure and pencil, in the open and close to tools, such as a miter saw, will help speed things up.
Building shelving at at eye level for the items you use most, will make thing more organized, while tucking away less used items.

These projects will not only save you money, but they allow you to add more features and, ultimately, greater precision and more versatility to the machines in your shop. And let's face it: Having a shop outfitted with machines that you built yourself is just cool.
